Daylily ‘Instant Celebration’ is a 2006 introduction with cream-colored flowers that have a dark-purple eye and jazzy purple edges on the petals.
This cultivar is registered at 33 inches, but my plant has had two full summers in my garden now and it’s only reached a height of 24 inches. I grow hundreds of daylilies and 99% of them always reach their registered height, so my plant is a bit of an oddball.
Regardless, ‘Instant Celebration’ starts sending up 5-inch flowers toward the beginning of the daylily season and keeps those blooms coming for many weeks.
