My blueberries were very productive this year. For the first time I was able to enjoy a small bowl of berries every day for a couple of weeks.
‘Dwarf Northsky’ has been growing in my yard for six years. The plants are supposed to get 1-1/2 feet tall, but my shrub is almost 4 feet tall.
I put a ‘Chippewa’ blueberry bush next to ‘Dwarf Northsky’ last spring. It should eventually top out at 3 feet, but right now it’s still only a foot high. And yet it was still loaded with berries.
Thankfully there aren’t very many Japanese beetles around this summer, so the berries were all mine, mine, mine.
