Mother Nature pulled a little trick on us on Halloween. We woke up to a coating of snow on the ground. Usually we get a hard freeze weeks before the first measurable snow. Since we’d only had a light frost up to that point (the hard freeze came 24 hours after the snowfall), I still had some plants blooming.
I took some photos of my still-happy petunias covered in snow dust:
