Zinnia ‘Crouching Tiger’

Zinnia ‘Crouching Tiger’ flowers morph as they age. The flowers start out single, sometimes with yellow petals that have a rich red center:

Or is it dark-red petals with yellow tips?

Either way they eventually mature into fully-double flowers in shades of dark-red or golden-yellow.

Like all zinnias, ‘Crouching Tiger’ prefers to grow in full sun, but the plants will tolerate partial-shade. This cultivar grows 24 inches tall and will send up new flowers all summer long if you keep the plants deadheaded.
