A beautiful coneflower! I bought 6 cone flowers, 4 Cheyenne an a white and blueberry. a white and bluberry. Sorry I haven’t been in touch since I came from Toronto visiting our daughter. My Sahara Rudbeckia wasn’t as impressive as I had hoped. They were late blooming, even though they were nearly ready to flower when I put them out. Insufficient sun I think. My dahlias were great. I’m making an effort to save the tubers now!
Planning to start fewer plants in my basement because of back problems. Take care. Talk to you later. James

Nice to hear from you, James! My Saharas started strong but fizzled out in August. That’s the second year in a row. I think I will be giving up on that cultivar even though I love the color of the flowers. My mother-in-law had some spectacular dahlias this year with dinner-plate-sized blooms in many different colors. I’m tempted to try growing them again now that the Japanese Beetle numbers have leveled off. Dahlias are one of their favorite flowers to chew on. So sorry to hear about your back problems. 🙁
