I planted Bearded Iris ‘Edith Wolford’ in spring of 2015. It bloomed that first year, but last year it took a vacation. There’s a chipmunk that likes to dig in this particular flowerbed, and I wondered if it maybe buried the rhizome. Bearded Irises can be fussy about their planting depth.
I was delighted to see my plant loaded with buds last week. Maybe it just needed some time to get used to its surroundings.
‘Edith Wolford’ grows 35 inches tall with light yellow and lavender flowers.
This iris grows in full sun to partial-shade and is hardy in Zones 3-9.
