Marvelous Marigolds

In May when it’s time to plant my homegrown annuals in my flowerbeds, I’m always hemming and hawing about marigolds. They just seem like such a boring choice.

But this time of year when the other garden flowers are looking a bit tired or getting gangly or dying off, the marigolds are the best thing blooming!
