If there was such a thing as Iris Police they would haul me away. While my irises are all blooming nicely this spring they are coming up in embarrassing clumps. They should have been dug and divided several times by now. These purple bearded iris bloomed in an almost-two-foot-diameter campfire circle this year because the center had died out long ago
And my Siberian irises are a solid mass of roots that desperately need attention. Thankfully there are still blooms!
Siberian Irises thrive in moist soil, so they are very happy in this Seattle-like weather we’ve been having this year.
