Here’s something that’s never happened in my yard before. One of my hostas is blooming in October!
I divided Hosta ‘Whirlwind Tour’ back in June and planted a clump of it near the back side of our garage. It bloomed mid-summer because there’s a spent scape, but apparently it decided there was enough time to bloom a second time (and it was right!).
And even the leaves still look pretty good on this plant considering the growing season has pretty much come to an end.
Hosta ‘Whirwind Tour’ grows 18 inches tall and is hardy in Zones 2-8.
