More than a decade later, my Phlox paniculata ‘Twister’ plant is still thriving on top of a wall on the north-facing side of our house.
This is a more compact phlox cultivar that grows about 16 inches tall with white flowers that have little fuchsia-pink pinwheels inside.
I haven’t had any mildew problems with ‘Twister’ (and we’ve had many wet summers recently). The flowers start showing up in mid-July and last for weeks.
‘Twister’ is hardy in Zones 4-8.
