My last forced tulips to bloom were supposed to be a cultivar called ‘Foxy Foxtrot’—an orange and yellow Double Early Tulip. Instead I got an ivory double tulip:
Like other tulips in this class, this one grew about 14 inches tall with double blooms that look a bit like roses.
When planted outside Double Early Tulips bloom in mid-April and the bulbs are hardy in Zones 3-7.
