Imara XDR impatiens have resistance to the dreaded downy mildew that made it nearly impossible to buy or grow impatiens over the last several years. I sprouted some plants from seed over the winter and have been quite pleased with their performance.
I grew Imara XDR Red which grows 10 to 12 inches tall (with similar spread) and prefers shade or light shade.
I planted 5 plants each in two pots, and they created a lovely mound that has been blooming since the middle of June with no attention from me except regular watering.
