Daylily ‘Sabine Baur’

It’s not a particularly heavy bloomer, when but daylily ‘Sabine Baur’ blooms you can’t help but notice those distinctive flowers.

This semi-evergreen daylily grows 25 inches tall with 6-inch cream-colored flowers that have a huge purple eyezone and purple edging on the petals.

Like other daylilies, when the first few flowers emerge in mid-summer the color can be a little spotty:

But soon the plant works all the kinks out and the subsequent flowers are usually picture-perfect.
