These orange and red flowers are from the same marigold plants! ‘Fireball’ has flowers that open in a very bright red color and then change to orange and gold over time. It’s an eye-catching display of color.
‘Fireball’ grows 10 to 12 inches tall with 2.5-inch double blooms. The plants have a compact habit and can be sown directly in the garden in the spring. I started my plants indoors about 5 weeks before our last frost date (mid-April).
I will definitely grow this quirky little marigold again.
