‘Cookie Monster’ is one of the last daylilies to bloom for me each summer. The 6.5-inch fragrant flowers have a mix of colors including salmon-pink and melon.
This cultivar is more than 40 years old. Not only do I like that it extends the daylily blooming season by a few weeks, but it’s also a very prolific bloomer. The flowers look especially fetching next to purples like salvias or balloon flowers.
‘Cookie Monster’ grows 28 inches tall, and the flowers appear in August.
