My daylilies are finally starting to open. I don’t know how long the show will last this year because we’re in a severe drought and it’s been very hot over the last few weeks while the scapes and buds were actively growing.
I’ve already noticed the buds on a few plants turning yellow which means they’ll drop off before they ever get a chance to open.
I plan to savor all the flowers that DO open this summer, starting with these beauties that have already started showing off:
