Burpee calls this little phlox “flower-crazy” and they weren’t kidding. Popstars ‘Bright Rose with Eye’ is a prolific bloomer in my flowerbeds this summer.
The plants only grow 8 to 10 inches tall so I stuck them in the front of some of my annuals beds. I can’t stop taking photos of them!
Some of the little “stars” are dark pink with white fringes and a small white center. Others have more white on the fringes with a larger white center.
They’ve thrived in the drought and I’ve only fertilized them twice so far this summer. This little phlox grows in a mound and looks great with companion flowers in purple, yellow and white.
I started my plants from seed in late March for planting in late May.
