I saw a photo of Zinnia ‘Queeny Lemon Peach’ last summer, and I immediately added it to my list of zinnias to sprout for this year’s flowerbeds.

‘Queeny Lemon Peach’ grows 30 to 40 inches tall in full or part-sun. The flowers show up as double or semi-double and are a lovely lime-tinged buffy-yellow with outer petals that eventually turn a light shade of peach.

This cultivar used to be known as ‘Queen Lime Peach’ and was an All-America Selections winner in 2022.

You can sow zinnia seeds directly in the ground once the soil warms in the spring, but I like to give them a head start under grow lights about 3 weeks before my last average frost date.

I haven’t seen a lot of bees so far this summer, but the ones I have seen have been visiting these lovely flowers.

This might just be my new favorite zinnia!
