This daylily practically screams from across the yard when it blooms. I purchased ‘Cajun Christmas’ last summer at a local daylily sale.
‘Cajun Christmas’ grows 24 inches tall with 5.5″ blooms. Those flowers are a bright tangerine with a huge red throat.
This daylily was registered in 2002 and won an Honorable Mention award from the American Daylily Society in 2009.
It often takes a newly-planted daylily a year or two to get established, but this plant was stunning in its first year in my yard, and I can’t wait to see what it does next summer.
‘Cajun Christmas’ is a semi-evergreen daylily that blooms earlier in the daylily season.
