There are thousands of yellow daylily cultivars, and I’ve rotated quite a few of them in and out of my flowerbeds over the years, but ‘Annie Armstrong’ is one I just can’t part with.
The pretty yellow flowers are just shy of 6 inches across and the petals are ruffled and curl back.
‘Annie Armstrong’ grows just 24 inches tall, so I use it at the front of a daylily bed.
I also like that this daylily starts blooming already in late June or early July for me, and the flowers keep coming through most of July.
‘Annie Armstrong’ is a dormant daylily that was registered in 2003. It won an Honorable Mention award from the American Daylily Society in 2006.
