Six years ago I tried Zahara Zinnia ‘Raspberry Ripple’ for the first time and was impressed. The cute dark-pink-and-white flowers are eye-catching, and the plants churn out flowers from early summer until frost.

Zahara zinnias grow 12 to 18 inches in full sun to part-sun. I don’t have a lot of full sun, but I still get hundreds of blooms each summer from these hard-working little plants.

This year I grew some next to ‘Amethyst Treasure’ zinnias to add a dash of purple.

And I grew another batch next to Zinnia ‘Zydeco Cherry’:

You can deadhead Zahara zinnias if you like a clean look, but you don’t have to. The plants will bloom through summer into fall regardless.
