I purchased Daylily ‘Call Me Sugah’ last August, so this year was the first year it has bloomed for me. It’s a newer cultivar. It was registered in 2019.

The plants grow 28 inches tall with 6.25″ flowers.

‘Call Me Sugah’s registered color description is a mouthful: “Pink orange blend, very large watermark with deep pink edge, green to yellow to pink throat, triple edge of dark to light pink and orange gold, tentacled edge.” Whew!

That color appears different depending on whether it’s a sunny day or a cloudy day.

Even though it was new to my yard and not well-established, the plant still bloomed for more than a month this summer.

‘Call Me Sugah’ appears in the middle of the daylily season.
