Phlox Paniculata ‘Ferris Wheel’

Phlox paniculata ‘Ferris Wheel’ is another one of the new shorter varieties of garden phlox. ‘Ferris Wheel’ grows 24 inches tall and like the others is resistant to powdery mildew.

The light pink flowers are mottled with dark pink patches and a darker pink eye. The petals twist slightly on the ends giving the flowers a curvy shape.

My plant got off to a slow start this spring because I had to move it out of the way of the landscapers and give it a new home in my backyard. Despite the move, it’s blooming happily with all the other garden phlox and shows no sign of powdery mildew.
