I received ‘Baby Bear’ as a mail order bonus plant many years ago. I prefer large-flowering daylilies, but when ‘Baby Bear’ bloomed reliably despite being planted in semi-shade I was impressed.
I’ve since moved my plant to a sunnier location where it shows off its deep-violet flowers for over a month each summer.
‘Baby Bear’ grows 20 inches tall with 3-inch blooms. The dark flowers look great with yellow flowers like daylily ‘Double Cutie.’
