I was thinking of growing something other than tall zinnias in the back of my sunniest flowerbed this year, but when I ran across some photos of my ‘Benary’s Giant Deep Red’ zinnias I had to reconsider.
There isn’t a better red for the garden in my opinion. The rich color masks blue undertones and looks great with purples like salvias, ageratums or even butterfly bushes. Or you can plant it with warm colors like Rudbeckia ‘Indian Summer’.
‘Benary’s Giant Deep Red’ grows 40 to 50 inches tall and will bloom all summer if deadheaded.
