My ‘Francis of Assisi’ daylily took its sweet time getting established in my flowerbed. It only sent up 1 or 2 pathetic-looking flowers the first two years, but just when I was about to lose patience in the third year, it rallied.
The 6-inch, wine-colored flowers are outlined by a lovely white picotee edge. ‘Francis of Assisi’ grows 26 inches tall and blooms mid-season.
