I purchased several dwarf columbine (Aquilegia vulgaris) plants last month. Columbine are relatively short-lived perennials. I used to have a beautiful purple one, but one year it just disappeared and I never saw it again.
This time I tried the Winky series. The plants grow 12 to 18 inches and bloom in May and June.
