I bought a new Siberian iris this spring and planted it among some daylilies. Unfortunately the daylilies grew like crazy after some wet weather, and my iris got buried. I came upon one of the hidden blooms while searching for a daylily plant tag. Since the daylilies got a head start this year I will see how my iris fares next spring before deciding to move it away from its bulkier neighbors.
This is ‘Ruffled Velvet’. It grows 26-28 inches tall in full sun to light shade and is hardy in Zones 2-9.
