I always forget how awesome Rudbeckia ‘Early Bird Gold’ is until late summer rolls around and it’s the best-looking plant in my flowerbeds.
‘Early Bird Gold’ begins blooming earlier than other rudbeckias because it’s day-length neutral (some plants need a certain number of hours of daylight before they’ll begin blooming, but not ‘Early Bird Gold’). My plants have been adorned with festive golden-yellow flowers since mid-July already.
‘Early Bird Gold’ grows 18 to 24 inches tall and thrives in sun or part-shade.
