I have a ‘Rozanne’ geranium growing between two of my favorite daylilies. ‘Rozanne’ meanders around the daylilies until they’re surrounded by purple flowers, but the daylilies still have no problems sending up their scapes. When the daylilies finally open, the color combinations are striking.
‘Scarlet Orbit’ sends out its bold, red blooms first:
And several weeks later I’m rewarded with the gorgeous, golden-yellow flowers of ‘Empire Strikes Back’:
‘Scarlet Orbit’ grows 22 inches tall with 6-inch fragrant flowers. ‘Empire Strikes Back’ also has 6-inch flowers but grows a little taller—26 inches.
