I really like these. Bought six of these last season for our summer place. They grew well despite our dry summer. We usually visit of summer cottage every couple of weeks for three or four days. Summer, 2011, was cool and damp. Had them planted in our garden. But the plants were planted too close and developed a form of mildew. Might try Becky Mix this year or stick with Tiger Eye and give them a bit more space. James

I like that cultivar too, but last year I took a break from almost all rudbeckias because the rabbits have been so bad here in recent years. The photo above was taken at a botanical garden. They had a 15 x 2-foot bed of ‘Tiger Eye Gold’ and it was spectacular.
