I have more than a dozen roses growing in my yard, but the one I enjoy the most is ‘Lady Emma Hamilton’. This David Austin rose has truly gorgeous apricot-orange flowers. Just looking at them makes me thirsty for something citrusy.
This beauty grows 3 to 4 feet tall. I have to stake most of my David Austin roses because the blooms get so large and heavy, but I don’t have that problem with ‘Lady Emma Hamilton’.
The flowers appear all summer long and have a fruity fragrance. This is the second season for my rose and I have yet to see any sign of disease on the leaves. Now if I could just get the Japanese Beetles to leave it alone…
