Over the last five years the Zahara zinnias have zoomed to the top of my list of favorite annuals. They are so easy to sprout from seed (no damping off), and they don’t waste any time once they are tucked into the garden. Zaharas are usually the first annuals to bloom for me.
My favorite color is ‘Coral Rose’. It goes with just about anything, but looks especially fetching with purple salvias and ageratums.
Usually I deadhead zinnias the moment they begin fading, but ‘Coral Rose’ actually looks pretty even with half its color:
Zinnia Zahara ‘Coral Rose’ is a low maintenance annual that grows 12 to 18 inches tall and thrives in sun or partial-shade. If you deadhead the plants, they will keep blooming until frost.
