I planted a couple of new perennials in mid-June. They barely got a chance to set down roots before Mother Nature tried to fry them alive.

Veronica ‘Darwin’s Blue’ was up for the challenge. My plant is already on its third flush of blooms:

‘Darwin’s Dream’ looks great in the front of the border. The plants grow 12 to 16 inches tall and are covered with bluish-tinged purple flowers:

‘Darwin’s Blue’ prefers well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. If you keep the plants deadheaded, they will bloom all summer long. ‘Darwin’s Blue’ is hardy in Zones 4-8.
