There was little to be thrilled about in the garden this year, but my pepper plants have been a rare bright spot. I purchased them from a garden center in May and planted them in one of my flowerbeds.
Bell pepper ‘King Arthur’ set fruit early and started giving me huge, bright-red peppers at the end of August:
The fruit is sweet and crunchy and grows on 22-inch plants.
My plants still have some peppers ripening on them. Now it’s a race to see if they can mature before Jack Frost gets them.
