Last year I started growing Salvia ‘Salsa Purple’ again after many years. It performed well for me—even in the drought and excessive heat—so this year I sprouted some Scarlet and Burgundy plants as well.
Burgundy is really more of a red with a bluish-pink hue than a burgundy color, but it’s still pretty.
The plants aren’t fussy and they don’t seem to mind part-shade which is always a plus in my yard.
Salvia ‘Salsa Burgundy’ is an annual that grows 12 to 14 inches high. The plants are drought-tolerant and disease-resistant and the bunnies leave them alone.
