Amaryllis ‘Blossom Peacock’ has small, fully-double white and light-red flowers. I like that this cultivar’s flowers are upfacing and easy to view.
‘Blossom Peacock’ is supposed to grow 18 to 24 inches tall. My plant has topped out at a tiny 11 inches tall with four 4-inch flowers. So far I see no signs of a second scape.
For some reason all of my amaryllis plants have been at the low end of their height ranges or even under this year. It’s very odd. I guess I should be happy because it means I haven’t had to stake up any of the flower scapes.
