‘Lavon’ Delivers

When Orienpet Lily ‘Lavon’ first bloomed in my garden in 2012, I shrugged my shoulders. The color was much more bland than I had anticipated (creamy yellow flowers with a raspberry starburst).

However, last summer ‘Lavon’ reminded me why I can’t get enough of the Orienpet lilies. The flower stalks grew tall and sturdy, and they were just smothered in flowers:

I’m a big fan of any plant that blooms like crazy without any help from me. Other than hungry rodents that could dig up and eat the bulbs, Orienpet lilies have no pest or disease problems. ‘Lavon’ more than makes up for its subtle color by delivering lots of flower power.

‘Lavon’ grows 4-6 feet tall in sun or part-shade in Zones 4-8.
