I like to grow ‘Heavenly Blue’ morning glories because I love their light-blue color, and they don’t take over the world. Before I grew that cultivar I grew ‘Star of Yelta’.
I like ‘Star of Yelta’ because the blooms stay open much longer than other morning glories, but boy does this plant ever reseed itself.
Every year a few little seedlings pop up—seeds from plants I grew years ago, but this year I have a bumper crop in several different flower beds:
I have a feeling I’m going to be untwisting morning glories from daylily scapes, tall perennials and lilies all summer long.
