There’s a new color in the Zahara zinnia series called ‘Starburst’. My plants are just starting to bloom, but I’ve already discovered that the flowers are quite challenging to photograph.
No matter how much I fiddle with the settings, the color is just too much for the camera and I can’t take a photo that represents the same flowers I’m seeing with my own eyes. It’s almost as if the camera is squinting from that bright mix of orange, gold and red:
So far I like what I see. I’ll give a more in depth report later in the summer when the plants are in full bloom.
