I thought my ‘Tiny Toons’ lilies would never bloom again after the rabbits stripped off all the petals last year and even chomped one flower stalk completely in half. In fact so pessimistic was I that I pulled out their plant tag earlier this spring. Boy was I surprised when they starting blooming in June, behaving as if no trauma had ever befallen them.
‘Tiny Toons’ is a dwarf Asiatic lily that grows 14 to 16 inches tall with bright-pink flowers that have a touch of orange in the center. Like other Asiatic lilies, ‘Tiny Toons’ blooms in late June and early July in full sun or part shade. The plants are hardy in Zones 3-9.
