When I was ordering my seeds in early January, I forgot to include Cosmos ‘Double Click Rose Bon Bon’ in the mix. I saw a lovely display of blooms from this cultivar at a botanical garden last summer:
The plants produce mostly double flowers that are pink with a lavender glow to them. They grow about 3 feet tall, and the seeds can be planted directly in the soil once the threat of frost has passed in late spring or started indoors about 4 weeks before your last frost date.
Cosmos need to be deadheaded or sheared back regularly or they tend to get a little stingy with the blooms. The plants do best in full sun but will tolerate partial-shade.

Another beauty, but too tall for our winds. I usually Buy the Sonata Cosmos for our Summer Cottage. James
Like you with ‘Maya’ I’m going to wait for next year since I already placed my orders and would rather not pay shipping for one packet of seeds!
