Hyacinth ‘Fondant’

While winter was throwing its final tantrum last week, I was huddled indoors enjoying my last two pots of forced bulbs.

Hyacinth ‘Fondant’ has light-pink, fragrant flowers. Grown outside the plants reach 10-12 inches tall in full sun or partial shade. ‘Fondant’ is hardy in Zones 4-8.

After planting all my outdoor bulbs last fall I had some grape hyacinths left over, so I tucked some in with ‘Fondant’ for some additional color and fragrance. I think they look lovely together:

Soon some of those spring bulbs I planted outside last fall should start popping out of the ground. I can’t wait!
