Chameleon Zinnias

Most of the Zahara and Profusion zinnias change color as they age. The flowers last a very long time, so a clump of plants can feature a nice range of colors.

When the flowers of Profusion ‘Double Deep Salmon’ first open they look like this:

As the weeks wear on they lose that bold hue and the color becomes a more muted peach with pretty yellow and pink highlights.

The bees don’t really care what color the flowers are as long as they produce nectar.
