So far ‘Minerva’ is an adorable amaryllis with a very stand-up-straight habit. The plants are supposed to grow 22-26 inches tall, but my bulb sent up two scapes at the same time and they both topped out at 12 inches.
‘Minerva’ has scarlet-red, 4-inch flowers with a white star in the center.
Some amaryllis cultivars have scapes that lean toward light. You have to turn the pot each day or the plant can get top-heavy and flip the entire pot.
‘Minerva’ has bright, cheerful flowers and an easy growing habit—no pot turning or staking required. I would happily grow this amaryllis again.
