If you want a burst of sunshine in your spring flowerbeds, plant ‘Falconet’ daffodils. I became smitten with this cultivar last spring. The stems reach 12 to 14 inches tall and each one is packed with up to 8 miniature daffodil flowers. The effect is stunning.
‘Falconet’ is only hardy to Zone 5, so I was a little concerned my plants might struggle over winter, but they returned looking better than ever (although to be fair, our winter was not that harsh).
‘Falconet’ has fragrant, golden-yellow flowers with a tiny orange cup. This cultivar is hardy in Zones 5-9. I don’t have the heart to cut any of the stems because they look so fantastic in the garden, but a vase full of them would really be a conversation piece.
