More Cosmos ‘Limara Lemon’

Look at these cheery lemon-yellow flowers! Last summer my ‘Limara Lemon’ cosmos had some foliage issues, but the problem wasn’t serious enough to deter me from growing them again.

‘Limara Lemon’ grows 8-10 inches tall in full sun to partial-shade. The flowers start out bright yellow and fade just slightly as they age.

Last year the foliage on all of my plants turned from a rich green to a sickly shade of yellow. I feared the plants weren’t long for this world, but they continued to bloom throughout the summer. They just looked a little strange.

‘Limara Lemon’ is an great garden companion because the bright-yellow flowers blend with anything. It’s short stature makes it a great front-of the-border plant.

You can start the ‘Limara Lemon’ indoors from seed about 5 weeks before your last frost date or sow seeds directly in the garden soil once all threat of frost has passed in late spring.
