Echinacea ‘Primadonna Deep Rose’ has flowers that are more light pink than deep rose (at least the ones growing in my flowerbeds). I think the color is pretty:
Those flowers are very large–5 to 6 inches across:
This perennial grows 30 to 36 inches tall in full sun to partial-shade. My plant started blooming in June and was still going strong in August.
Japanese Beetles were a pesky nuisance this summer and chewed on most of my coneflowers, but ‘Primadonna Deep Rose’ didn’t seem to mind.
‘Primadonna Deep Rose’ is an Echinacea purpurea coneflower, not a hybrid, so it’s a tough perennial that can survive in Zones 3-8.
