‘Rozanne Rebirth’

My ‘Rozanne’ geranium was not very impressive this year because I divided the living daylights out of it last fall. My plant had grown so large that it was taking over the daylilies on either side of it, so I dug it up and saved only a quarter of it.

‘Rozanne’ grew very slowly over the summer into fall (thanks to no frost or freeze). At the end of October I was surprised to find dozens of bluish-purple flowers waving in the wind:

‘Rozanne’ grows 12 to 20 inches tall in a bushy clump. The plants are easy to care for and bloom from late spring well into fall. ‘Rozanne’ is hardy in Zones 4-9 (some growers say 5-9, but ‘Rozanne’ survived the Polar Vortex when scores of my other perennials croaked—this plant can certainly handle Zone 4).
