My Orienpet ‘Satisfaction’ lillies have been blooming happily every summer for almost 10 years now. I’ve never had bulbs survive that long in my flowerbeds (which can oftentimes be blamed on rodents—not the bulbs themselves).
The first year they bloomed they were about 3 feet tall, and every year after that they’ve grown even taller. Last summer some of my plants topped out at 6 and 7 feet.
‘Satisfaction’ has raspberry-pink flowers with a neon-yellow throat, and those flowers are pleasantly-fragrant.
This lily thrives in sun or part-shade, but the flowers will fade if exposed to the hot sun, so it’s best to plant them someplace where they can get a shady relief from the afternoon sun.
‘Satisfaction’ grows 3 to 4 feet tall (and much taller), and the flowers begin appearing in late July and early August.
